Fort Collins Friday - The Holler!

The Holler! have been around Fort Collins long enough to become a staple band in our local scene. After going through a few name changes, ie Wildwood Holler! and Handpicked Holler!, two things have stayed consistent; front man Michael Kirkpatrick and the exclamation point.  If you're wondering what the exclamation point means? Well it could stand for the amount of fun they have on stage or as the band explains, it's how they present their " bluegrassy sound, rock n’ roll personality and passionate vocals delivered with mountaintop exclamation." The sound is a catchy and upbeat, but underneath their melodies is a strong sense of storytelling. They write music about their love of nature and Colorado.  You can almost feel the cold water from the Poudre Canyon wash across your toes when Michael descriptively sings about some of his favorite places.  The honesty connects well with audiences and most people walk away from the show a loyal fan.  Make sure you stop by and hear what they have to say at Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest on Friday August 15th.  The Holler! take the Library Park Stage at 7:10 PM.  Check out a glimpse of their performance from last year below.
