The Blue Canyon Boys ain't yo Grandaddy's bluegrass band. At least not mine, but I did grow up in the backwoods of KY and we had our fair share of bluegrass bands. Blending their incredible vocals with some super tasty licks, the Lyons based quartet are taking traditional bluegrass to the next level. Known as one of the premiere groups in Colorado, they are winners of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival's band competition and have fans across the country. You can see the Blue Canyon Boys in action on Sunday August 17th as part of Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest. They'll be on Library Park at 3:25 PM. They have so many great songs and I was torn on which one I wanted to share with you, but this cover won out as I love the original but I may love their version even more!
