Volunteers Make All the Difference
It literally takes 100s of volunteers to pull off a music festival. Their work behind the scenes is invaluable. That's why we need you to help make Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest the best it can be by signing up to volunteer. A few hours of your time can make the biggest difference. Think it's too late? It's not. We still have open shifts that we need to fill. Our volunteer coordinator, Ashley Gutierrez and her assistant Audra have been working tirelessly around the clock to make sure that artists and concert goers will have the best experience possible by filling the hundreds of shifts needed to make the festival happen. You can sign up HERE or e-mail Ashely and Audra directly at volunteer@bohemiannights.org
It also happens to be Audra's birthday today. You can give her the best birthday present ever by signing up for a volunteer shift!
Oh and did I mention it's fun?
"How often do you get to hear a baby play the clarinet? I do every year, since it started 8 years ago, as a Bohemian Nights volunteer woodwinds instructor for the Kids' Music Adventure. It's really fun to share the thrill of making a few notes on a real musical instrument with kids ranging from 2 to 82 at Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest."
-Kenny Workman, 2005-2012 volunteer
"Bohemian Nights is an awesome festival, and it's a great way to give back to the community. All components of the festival are very well-run, especially the volunteer orientation. Being a new volunteer can make you a little nervous, but after the training session I left very prepared and at ease for my first volunteer shift at Bohemian Nights."
-Rose Mcalister, 2010-2012 volunteer
"I continue to volunteer at Bohemian Nights because of the culture and music that Bohemian Nights provides, for free, to the community. I also admire the incredible level of organization and professionalism of the organizers and volunteer managers. It's great to be part of such a rewarding and positive experience and I look forward to being part of it this year."
-Shaun Dashjian, 2010-2012 volunteer
