Elephant Revival have been busy gaining fans across the country as they spent the past year touring relentlessly, playing on airplanes (true story), and selling out venues everywhere. In fact, they are releasing a live album this week from their sold out weekend at the Boulder Theater last fall (see video below). Sands of Now features a mix of both unreleased and favorite songs that span the band's career. The quintet from Nederland got their start in 2006 and create a sound that falls somewhere between folk and bluegrass with hints of surprising personalities popping up when you least expect them (Celtic - Reggae - Hip Hop just to name a few). The group found it's first taste of success in 2010 when they signed with Ruff Shod Records and released their breakthrough album Break in the Clouds. Since then, Elephant Revival have become one of the hottest and most sought after bands in the scene. Crossing over to a wide audience, they are a must see show! And you must see them at this year's Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest. They'll be performing on our Library Park Stage on Friday August 14th at 8:30 PM.
