I think technically that it should say #QRising, but it just doesn't read as well. If you haven't had a chance to introduce yourself to the Qbala family and her music, you are missing out. Kalhie Quinones, or Qbala, is from Loveland and had a promising career in women's basketball. But after some soul searching, decided that music was the path she needed to take and she's taken it by storm. Named as one of the best emcees in the state by multiple outlets including the Westword, she's spent the summer touring the country (which is where the #QRising comes from - it was the name of the tour). She's one of the hardest working musicians in the scene and her hard work is paying off in a big way. It's time for that next step and we can't wait to see where it takes her. Qbala will be bringing her signature hip hop sound to the Old Town Square Stage for this year's Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest on Saturday August 16th at 3 PM.
