As I opened up my computer this morning, I noticed that the ticker read "The 2014 Festival Starts in 0 More Days." Not going to lie, my heart rate definitely spiked a little bit thinking about all of the amazing music that I'll get to see and play this weekend. It also got me thinking about the mission and goal of Bohemian Nights which is to showcase, reveal and share live music in Fort Collins. I'm not sure how many people realize that minus the 2 national headliners (Pat Benatar/Neil Giraldo and War) all of the bands playing the festival are Colorado based artists. So as you explore the festival grounds and enjoy all of the sounds around you, I hope you will remember that this is your local music scene. We are so fortunate to have such a vibrant local music scene brimming with talent. It's a precious gift that I hope you will take care of and support long after the Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest stages are taken down.
